VMFF Tropeapalooza

#TAP20 Victory

Tropeapalooza is a community bolstering challenge. It was specifically created to give our community a distraction from the anniversary of season four and it is intended to foster engagement and/or creation from readers, writers, artists, DJs, podficers, etc. It is based on the premise that our community is stronger when all content (new & old, concise & sprawling, etc.) is celebrated and elevated. All are invited to participate in all mediums.

Let’s put the tropes to the test, to see which is best…
Starting this July 19th (and lasting over a week) our favorite tropes will be pitted against each other once again. Sixteen tropes will duke it out, only one will survive.

Tournament Match-Ups

The Tournament

Starting on July 19th, the tropes will faceoff in daily bracket matchups. You can show support for your favorites by voting in polls, recommending trope specific content, creating content corresponding to the designated tropes, and/or reviving graveyard fics. Recommendations and content creation can include art, videos, podfics, playlists, fics -- including adding chapters to existing fics, etc. Points will be awarded to a trope based on your activity/participation.

How to score a trope points:
Vote for the trope (1 point).
Recommend Content

Classic Content (5 points) recommend/share content created prior to June 15th.
New Content (10 points) recommend/share new content created on/after June 15th.
Revived Graveyard Fic (15 points) recommend/share a fanfic that had not been updated for at least a year, but was updated on/after June 15th.

Valid entries must include:

Selected Trope
Point Category (either “Classic”, “New”, OR “Revived”)
Link to Content

Recycling recommendations, content, and graveyard revivals is not only permitted, but encouraged. However, points will only be awarded once per bracket matchup. The same recommendations, content, and graveyard revivals can be reused in different rounds and can be applied to multiple (applicable) tropes.
